Gianluca Curci has warned Maarten Stekelenburg that he'll have to fight for his place in goal at Roma.
The Dutchman is expected to join the Italian club from Ajax, leaving Curci and Bogdan Lobont as reserves in the capital.
But Curci, who returned to the club after a spell at Sampdoria, is confident that he'll get a chance to play in 2011-12.
"The competition for a place in the team doesn't scare me," the former Italian Under-21 international told Sky Sport Italia.
"I saw Stekelenburg play at the 2010 World Cup and he's a good 'keeper, but we'll have many games to play.
"We'll be playing in the League, in the Coppa Italia and in the Europa League. I'm hopeful that I will feature."
