Siena have admitted an interest in Daniele Mannini of Napoli, but they have yet to table an offer for his services.
"He is a player who we do like," Siena sporting director Giorgio Perinetti told Radio Marte Sport Live.
"However, we haven't even begun preliminary talks and at the moment there is absolutely nothing concrete.
"We're following him, but we have not even discussed him with Napoli. We'll see if anything happens soon."
Wide midfielder Mannini, 27, returned to Naples this summer after the Azzurri won a blind auction against Sampdoria for his signature.
The former Brescia player had been playing his club football at Marassi since his 2009 move from the Stadio San Paolo.
