Italian 2006 World Cup winner Simone Barone has signed a contract with Serie B side Livorno.
The midfielder has joined the Tuscan outfit on a free transfer given that he was club-less throughout the 2010-11 campaign.
The 33-year-old midfielder has enjoyed spells at Parma, Palermo and Torino in his career.
His last club was Cagliari where he had his three-year contract rescinded after just 12 months at the Stadio Sant'Elia.
