Cannavaro out for 15 days
Thursday 17 September, 2009

Juventus have confirmed that summer signing Fabio Cannavaro will be out of action for at least two weeks.

The veteran limped out of Tuesday’s Champions League game against Bordeaux with a left thigh problem and tests have confirmed he’ll be unavailable for 15-20 days.

The loss of Cannavaro will be a massive blow to the Turin giants after his surprisingly good early season form.

Although he was a somewhat controversial summer capture, after jumping ship in the aftermath of the Calciopoli scandal, Cannavaro has impressed for club and country.

Meanwhile, the outfit have also confirmed that the injuries picked up by Tiago and Felipe Melo in the same game will see them sidelined for a week.

Alessandro Del Piero, Diego and Hasan Salihamidzic are continuing with their own rehabilitation programmes after their fitness issues.

Zdenek Grygera is back in full training though after he missed the Lazio game due to a physical problem.
