Delio Rossi could soon be back in Serie A management. “I am in talks with a number of clubs,” he admitted.
Rossi has been out of the game since he was replaced by Davide Ballardini at Lazio in the summer despite winning the Coppa Italia.
However, the former Salernitana and Lecce tactician has revealed that he has been contacted by a variety of outfits regarding his availability.
“I am in talks with a number of clubs in Serie A,” he noted. “Which? I can’t say anything out of respect to the Coaches who are currently with those sides.”
Rumours suggest that Palermo and Napoli could be two clubs keen on Rossi given their current difficulties.
Walter Zenga has struggled at the Barbera so far this term after his switch from rivals Catania, while Roberto Donadoni’s job is on the line with the Azzurri.
Rossi was also linked with a return to Atalanta after they sacked Angelo Gregucci this week, but the Nerazzurri moved for Antonio Conte instead.
“Did Atalanta call? There is no point in discussing it as they hired Antonio Conte, who is an important Coach,” continued Rossi.
“Atalanta made an excellent choice, even if I am disappointed for Gregucci as he wasn’t very lucky.
“I’ll still return to Atalanta one day, but not for now.”
Rossi took charge of 24 Serie A games for Atalanta in 2004-05, but he didn’t manage to save them from relegation.
