Friendly: Arna makes Inter debut
Saturday 5 September, 2009

Marko Arnautovic made his Inter debut in a spectacular 3-3 friendly draw against Swiss side Lugano.

The former FC Twente striker is still recovering from ankle surgery and his loan deal will only be made permanent if he notches up a certain number of official games for the club.

“In one or two weeks I will be on form,” said Arnautovic.

Amantino Mancini hit the woodwork early on, but Lugano broke through with Fejzulhai anticipating Patrick Vieira.

Ricardo Quaresma equalised with a marvellous individual strike, skipping past two opponents to delicately chip the goalkeeper.

Marco Materazzi limped off with a suspected right thigh strain and Inter once again fell behind to Da Silva's header. It took 120 seconds to make it 2-2 with Vieira making up for his earlier error with a lob.

For the third time Lugano went ahead through Francesco Toldo parrying a Rocca effort into the path of Silvio.

Mancini scored the final goal of the game after 75 minutes, curling a free kick round the wall and into the bottom corner.

Arnautovic impressed on his debut and forced a difficult diving save out of shot-stopper Wuthrich.
