Report: De Sciglio only wants Juve

It is reported that Mattia De Sciglio would only leave Milan to join Juventus.

With Silvio Berlusconi’s attempts to sell the Rossoneri to a Chinese consortium repeatedly encountering delays, Coach Vincenzo Montella is having to sell players in order to free up funds for potential new recruits.

Italy defender De Sciglio appears to be one of those earmarked for a move away from San Siro, but Calciomercato.it say the 23-year-old only has his heart set on a move to Turin.

Bacca in, De Sciglio out?

Corriere dello Sport speculates that Milan are considering selling Mattia De Sciglio in order to keep Carlos Bacca.

The Colombian forward scored 18 Serie A goals for the Rossoneri last season and has been linked with a move to the likes of Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and West Ham over the course of the summer.

However, the Italian daily now claim that the San Siro club will try to hang on to the 29-year-old at the expense of defender De Sciglio.

De Sciglio: ‘Milan deserved to win’

Mattia De Sciglio insists Milan ‘deserved to win’ the Derby della Madonnina on Sunday night.

The Rossoneri were defeated 1-0 by city rivals Inter, but the Italian international believes the result was not a fair reflection of the match.

“Losing the derby like that left us with huge disappointment in terms of the result,” De Sciglio admitted in an interview with Milan Channel.

“In terms of the play, I think we deserved to win. Unfortunately derby games are like that, and it takes just a single episode to decide the game.

Tassotti: 'Milan deflate Inter'

Former Milan assistant manager Mauro Tassotti said they need to “stop Inter building enthusiasm” in the Derby.

The ex-defender is still employed by the club, as he has been his entire adult life, but now as a scout in charge of co-ordinating players out on loan.

“We knew the start of the season would be difficult. The defeat to Fiorentina was made worse by Rodrigo Ely’s red card, while against Empoli the team struggled to get its style in order,” Tassotti told Milan Channel.

Pt1: Assessing Italy's youth

Italy must reshape its roster to regain international success. Vincent van Genechten evaluates the new blood coming through in defence and midfield.

GOALKEEPER

Mattia Perin (22, Genoa)

Perin has been hailed as the next great Italian goalkeeper ever since he joined Genoa in 2008. He was sent to Padova and Pescara on loan, where Perin impressed despite only recording nine clean sheets in two seasons. But in his first two terms with Genoa, he kept 18 clean sheets in Serie A 69 starts. His transfer value has soared from €6.5m to €17.5m in two years and Perin made his Italy debut in 2014. He is developing as expected, though is currently out after shoulder surgery.

Sansone gets first Italy call

Nicola Sansone received his first senior call-up for Italy’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Croatia and friendly with Portugal.

The Azzurri – minus the Juventus men involved in the Champions League Final – will meet tomorrow afternoon at the Coverciano training ground.

It is the first senior call for Sassuolo forward Sansone, who was born in Germany and was included in this week's get-together.

However, his teammate Simone Zaza requires a fitness test to see if he will remain with the squad.

Serie A Week 34: Did You Know?

Juventus, Max Allegri and Andrea Pirlo celebrate Scudetto records and Mattia De Sciglio's fastest ever dismissal as Susy Campanale rounds up the stats.

Juventus celebrated their fourth consecutive Scudetto, now only one shy of their record from 1931 to 1935. No other club has ever achieved four in a row on two different occasions.

The other clubs with five Scudetti in a row were Torino from 1942-43 to 1948-49 (divided by World War II) and Inter from 2005-06 to 2009-10.

Straight after the 3-0 loss at the Stadio San Paolo, the Rossoneri released a statement confirming Inzaghi will be the Coach for the rest of the season.

“People have been talking about my future since the first day, so nothing changes,” he shrugged on Sky Sport Italia.
