Preziosi: 'Roma betrayed me'

Genoa President Enrico Preziosi denied he’s selling the club and said Roma "betrayed" him over Juan Manuel Iturbe.

Roma’s Rudi Garcia backs striker Juan Iturbe after a substitution drama, but reveals he was 'expecting much more from my starters'.

Today’s game against Sassuolo represented a big chance for the Argentine to regain a starter’s shirt, but the 2-2 draw and an opaque performance led to a substitution after five minutes in the second half.

Balzaretti: ‘This is Iturbe's year'

Roma director Federico Balzaretti is impressed by the 'motivated' Juan Iturbe: 'This will be his year.'

The 22-year-old was linked with an move away from the capital over the summer, but Balzaretti praised the Argentine after his goal against Frosinone on Saturday.

“The Scudetto? It’s too soon, there have only been three rounds to evaluate and many more games will be needed to say who will be favourites for the title,” he said to Tiki Taka.

“Inter are doing well, even though Milan deserved a draw in the derby.

‘Genoa rejected €15m for Perotti’

President Enrico Preziosi reveals Genoa turned down €15.5m for winger Diego Perotti from an English club.

Inter were believed to have made an offer for the Argentinian winger on Monday, with Bournemouth linked yesterday.

“I rejected an offer for Perotti on Monday,” Preziosi confirmed.

“Then yesterday an offer of €15.5m came in from England. I told the lad, and we decided together to turn it down.

Roma: 'Sorry Genoa, Iturbe stays'

Roma director Walter Sabatini apologised to Genoa, as Juan Manuel Iturbe “is staying with us,” but Victor Ibarbo is in the balance.

There was a deal in place for Iturbe to join Genoa on loan, then Sampdoria dived in with a proposal for both the striker and teammate Ibarbo.

“I take this opportunity to apologise publicly to Genoa,” Sabatini declared on Mediaset Premium.

“I accepted a negotiation with them to help him grow. Then doubts arose within me that I would’ve weakened Roma, so nothing more will come of it.
