Pioli confident of Chiesa stay

Stefano Pioli says he is confident that Federico Chiesa will stay at Fiorentina for the foreseeable future.

Chiesa has been linked with moves to some of Europe’s biggest clubs since breaking out last season, but the winger recently signed a new contract with Fiorentina and Pioli believes it was a sign of loyalty to the Viola.

“Will Chiesa stay? I think so. Chiesa signed a new contract because he believes in this project,” the Coach told Stadio.

‘Inzaghi said I could play every game’

Luis Alberto claims Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi “told me I could play every game” after his goal against Vitesse on Thursday.

Luis Alberto’s volley earned Lazio a 1-1 draw to preserve their unbeaten run of form in the Europa League, and the attacker revealed he took the match-ball home for his daughter, despite not scoring a hat-trick.

“This goal means so much, even for my family,” he said after the final whistle.

Inzaghi: 'Nani out for a few weeks'

Simone Inzaghi was pleased with Lazio focus in their 1-1 Europa League draw with Vitesse, but warned Luis Nani “will be out for a few weeks.”

The Biancocelesti already knew they were qualified top of the group, so today’s 1-1 result was largely irrelevant, but it proved costly as Nani limped off with a thigh injury.

“Nani felt a problem and that is the only off note of the evening,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
