Moratti: ‘De Boer excellent’

Former Inter President Massimo Moratti believes Frank De Boer has been excellent in his short time as Coach.

The Nerazzurri’s Dutch boss was under early pressure in the build up to Sunday night’s match with old rivals Juventus, but a surprise 2-1 victory has seen the mood at San Siro completely change.

“De Boer has been excellent, it wasn’t easy,” Moratti told Premium Sport on Monday. “He deserves trust because he has shown humility and professionalism.”

Moratti backs Inter ownership

Former Inter President Massimo Moratti has backed the Nerazzurri’s new Chinese owners to win over any doubters.

The Sunsing Holdings Group acquired a majority share of the club this summer, with the former Nerazzurri chief declaring his faith that they will deliver success.

“The fans should not have doubts over the goodness of this project,” Moratti said to TMW Radio. “We are talking about very serious people who will look to ensure that the team is stronger than last year.”

Thohir meets Moratti

Inter President Erick Thohir has reportedly met with Massimo Moratti to discuss the club’s future.

Oil tycoon Moratti was the Nerazzurri President for 18 years, but sold the club to Thohir in 2013.

The Italian retained a 30 per cent stake in the Beneamata, but it has been suggested that he is looking to sell his remaining shares, as he is not satisfied in his minor role.
