Inter could be after another free agent this summer, as it’s reported in Spain that Nacho Fernandez told Real Madrid he is leaving.

The Nerazzurri are known for their ability to do deals on the transfer market that bring in experience while keeping costs down.

They already have two big players lined up for next season, as Medhi Taremi will depart FC Porto, while Piotr Zielinski refused to sign a new contract with Napoli.

There is another important target in their midst after Marca reported that Nacho informed Real Madrid he intends to leave the club as a free agent in July.

The 34-year-old is Real Madrid born and bred, working his way up through their youth academy to become captain of the senior squad, where he has played consistently since 2012.

This is why he wants to try a new experience outside of Spain and will not even consider another club in LaLiga after Real Madrid.

Inter hope they have what it takes to tempt Nacho, particularly as they have already qualified for the Champions League and the 2025 Club World Cup.

The Serie A side had already tried to call in Nacho last summer and kept in contact with his entourage.
