Klose: 'My future? We'll see...'

Miroslav Klose "hasn't decided yet" where he'll play next, but bowed out from Lazio with a rare penalty.

The German striker waved goodbye to the Stadio Olimpico crowd with a goal in the 4-2 defeat to Fiorentina.

"It was weird, as I don't usually take penalties, but all my teammates insisted I had to take it," Klose told Mediaset Premium.

Lazio give injury updates

Lazio medics gave updates on Filip Djordjevic, Miroslav Klose, Stefan de Vrij, Dusan Basta, Federico Marchetti and Mauricio.

It has been one long injury crisis for the Aquile this season and kept chief medic Roberto Bianchini busy.

“Djordjevic has started the rehabilitation process and we have to wait a few days before evaluating the response to treatment,” he told Lazio Style Radio.

Candreva back for Lazio

Antonio Candreva will be available for Lazio when Frosinone visit on Sunday, the club doctor confirms.

The Italian international has not featured since spraining his ankle in the Europa League draw with Dnipro, but will be available for the weekend.

“Candreva has returned to the group,” Stefano Salvatori confirmed in an interview with Lazio Style Radio.

“The Coach will decide whether or not to call him, but there’s no problem from our side.”

Matri, Candreva to return for Lazio

Lazio’s team doctor reveals Antonio Candreva and Alessandro Matri are close to making a return.

The Biancocelesti have struggled with injuries in the early season, but following Lucas Biglia’s goalscoring return at the weekend, two other key figures could soon be back.

“Candreva will be available to the team from Friday, and could be called up for Sunday,” Roberto Bianchini revealed, speaking to Lazio Style Radio.

Matri to miss Verona

Lazio striker Alessandro Matri will not be fit for the weekend trip to Verona, the club confirms.

The forward was surprisingly not named in the squad to face Genoa, with it later being revealed he is suffering from fatigue of the thigh muscles.

“Work continues for Miroslav Klose, Alessandro Matri and Antonio Candreva, but they will not travel to Verona,” club doctor Stefano Salvatori revealed, speaking to Lazio Style Radio.

Biglia back in Lazio training

Lucas Biglia has returned to training with Lazio after his injury, while Antonio Candreva and Alessandro Matri are close to returns.

Club doctor Stefano Salvatori also revealed today that he expects Miroslav Klose and Stefan De Vrij to be available again after the net international break in October.

Candreva to miss two matches

Lazio are not expecting Miroslav Klose and Stefan De Vrij to be fit until after October’s international break.

The forward and the defender are both injured, and their absence has been keenly felt, with the Biancocelesti losing their two Serie A away games so far by a combined score of 9-0.

Biglia nears Lazio return

Lucas Biglia will return to Lazio training at the beginning of next week, the club has confirmed.

The midfielder has has been suffering with a calf injury, and has not played since the win over Bologna on the first day of the new season.
