Ausilio: ‘De Boer sack talk nonsense’

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has branded reports that Coach Frank De Boer could be sacked as ‘nonsense.’

The Dutchman has only presided over four matches as Nerazzurri boss since succeeding Roberto Mancini in August, winning one and losing two.

However, Thursday night’s shock 2-0 defeat at home to Israeli side Hapoel Be’er Sheva in the Europa League prompted rumours that the 46-year-old was already on the brink of the axe.

Capello analyses Milan crisis

Fabio Capello analyses Milan's moment of difficulty: 'The simultaneous departure of their leading players was the cause'.

The reasons behind the Rossoneri crisis is one of the hot topics of debate in Serie A at the moment, and the former player and Coach added his opinion for La Gazzetta.

“It's a problem that didn't start this year,” he said. “You can tell there's an ongoing trend that the club isn't used to.

“When they had leaders on the pitch and in the changing room these things didn't happen.

Capello: 'I'd rather win ugly'

Fabio Capello rushed to Inter’s defence, assuring “I’d rather win than lose while playing entertaining football.”

The Nerazzurri are top of the table with five consecutive victories, though four of them were 1-0 and showed only rare bursts of creativity.

Critics have complained about the style of their approach, but La Gazzetta dello Sport published a rebuttal from Capello with the headline: ‘The beauty of being ugly.’

Former Bianconeri Coach Capello believes it’s time for Pogba to step up, and thinks Alvaro Morata has huge potential.

“Now Pogba needs to do something important, he has the potential to be a super player but, with the steering wheel in his hands, he must show that he can drive,” he told Tuttosport.

Fabio Capello discusses the start of Serie A, and believes Inter ‘can do very well’.

The ex-Russia CT discussed the first two matches of the season in an interview with Mediaset, and also had some harsh words for the new faces at Juventus.

“I said it would be good for Roma to meet Juventus now,” Capello said, in reference to the Giallorossi’s 2-1 win on Sunday.

“Maybe some players have not yet understood what it means to wear the Juventus shirt. Sometimes it’s not enough just to give 100 per cent.
