Fiorentina have been dealt a fitness boost as top goalscorer Nikola Kalinic has avoided a back injury.

Kalinic underwent tests on Monday morning to assess his lower back, which took a blow over the weekend against Bologna and forced him to be substituted at half-time, but the results have excluded the possibility of a layoff.

The striker has begun analgesic therapy and will continue to be monitored alongside Federico Bernardeschi, who has bone oedema, and Matias Vecino, the midfielder struggling with a muscle problem.
