Inter have announced that Mauro Icardi is struggling with a thigh injury and will be “evaluated day-by-day”.
The Nerazzurri face Lazio at Stadio Olimpico this weekend, and defeat will mathematically rule them out of the Europa League running.
It appears they may have to face the match without their top-scorer, as it has today been announced that he’s suffering from a thigh injury.
“Mauro Icardi was this afternoon submitted to magnetic resonance imaging at the stituto Clinico Humanitas in Rozzano,” a statement from the Beneamata begins.
“The examination showed an injury to the rectus femoris in the left thigh. The condition of the Argentine striker will be evaluated day-by-day.”
