It was later reported that there is a contractual dispute, as the Greek international wants his wages to be defined in Euros rather than Roubles.

Now Premium Sport is reporting that the Blues are looking to take advantage of the situation with a bombshell last minute move for Manolas.

Roma had accepted a bid of around €35m from Zenit, so the English club would have to match that and then agree terms with the player.
