The 22-year-old right-back had been all ready to complete his transfer from KAA Gent last week when suddenly negotiations were abandoned.
Atalanta only stated they couldn’t reach an agreement, but said this after the medical.
Now Sport Wereld claim the reason was the Atalanta doctors discovered a heart condition.

He saw cardiologist Pedro Brugada at the Ghent University Hospital, who advised minor surgery and six months out to see if the issue has been resolved.
It does mean Foket will almost certainly miss out on the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
