Verona have confirmed the signing of former Torino and Italy forward Alessio Cerci on a free transfer.
A statement on Verona’s website notes Cerci has already passed a medical and will join up with his new teammates at their preseason training camp in Primiero on Monday afternoon.
Although there is no mention of contract length, reports suggest the 30-year-old has put pen to paper on a one-year deal.
The deal comes on the same day that Antonio Cassano is said to be joining, with the pair possibly forming a new-look attacking trident alongside Giampaolo Pazzini.
Cerci also has 14 caps for Italy, representing the country at the 2013 Confederations Cup, and previously played for the likes of Torino, Atletico Madrid, Milan and Genoa.
