Atalanta have announced that attacker Alejandro Gomez has signed a new contract with the club.
Atalanta tweeted confirmation of Gomez’s new deal on Wednesday morning and that he would later speak to the media at 13:00 CET (12:00 BST).
Although details of his extension have yet to be disclosed, Calciomercato.com suggests the 29-year-old has renewed until 2022 and will earn €2m more a season.
‘Papu’ scored 16 goals and assisted 12 last term to help the Orobici achieve their best-ever Serie A finish of fourth place and qualify for the Europa League group stage.
He also made his Argentina debut a month ago, netting in a 6-0 victory over Singapore.
