Juventus continue to seek a Leonardo Bonucci replacement, with Ezequiel Garay of Valencia, Roma’s Kostas Manolas and Stefan de Vrij of Lazio mentioned.

The calcio world was stunned this week when Bonucci completed a €42m transfer to Milan.

Tuttosport list the potential heirs, along with Daniele Rugani and Medhi Benatia already in the squad.

The latest name is Garay, who Valencia have placed a €15m price-tag on, but Tuttosport claim Juve could use their strong rapport with the club to secure a deal for €10m plus bonuses.

The 30-year-old Argentina international arrived from Zenit last summer for €24m.

He managed three goals in 33 competitive games for Valencia last season.

Other alternatives include Roma centre-back Manolas, who had been on the verge of a Zenit St Petersburg move until he failed to turn up to the medical.

Lazio defender De Vrij has long been on the Juve radar, as well as that of Liverpool, and his current contract expires in June 2018.

Being only 25 and already proving himself in Serie A, De Vrij is therefore the preferred option.
