Sampdoria may have been given a boost for Jack Wilshere as the midfielder is reportedly free to leave Arsenal.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal will listen to offers for Wilshere as he does not figure in Arsene Wenger’s plans for next season.

Furthermore, the Englishman’s contract expires next year, while he has not travelled on the Gunners’ preseason tour of Australia and China, although this is due to him still recovering from a broken leg.

Sky Sports claims Samp have already proposed a deal that could rise to €9m, but the Daily Mail believes the Blucerchiati have only bid €6.7m.

Wilshere, 25, was linked with Milan and Roma at the end of the transfer window last summer but ultimately joined Bournemouth on loan.
