Borussia Dortmund have branded Milan “disrespectful” following the Rossoneri’s decision to go public with their pursuit of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Hans-Joachim Watzke’s remarks come Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc insisted Aubameyang would be going nowhere after the striker coincidentally scored twice against Milan in a friendly on Tuesday.
“Given that Aubameyang has made a big contribution to us over the past few years, we decided to give him eight weeks to find a different solution on the market and present us with an offer that would satisfy both our ambitions,” the CEO was quoted as saying by Calciomercato.com.
“But now time’s up, we have to plan for next season and we want to do it with him.
"Milan? It’s not right that their director publicly mentioned [Aubameyang] as a concrete target. I found it disrespectful.
“Now we’re ready to give a clear signal. Pierre will stay with us.”
