Marcello Trotta has officially returned to Crotone, on loan from Sassuolo with option and counter-option.
The 24-year-old spent last season with the Squali, scoring three goals and providing five assists.
Following their miraculous final day escape from relegation, the Calabrian club have once again take the striker on loan.
“Football Club Crotone announces that it has taken Marcello Trotta on loan from from Sassuolo, with a right to buy on the part of the Rossoblu and a counter-option for the Emilian side,” the club’s official website confirmed.
“Last year he was one of the protagonists of our Serie A survival, thanks to his outstanding performances.
“Welcome back, Marcello Trotta.”
