Rulli has seemingly accepted the role of understudy to Pepe Reina for a year until he can take over the gloves next season.

The situation is further complicated by Manchester City, who had an option for Rulli that has now expired, at least for this summer session.

It's reported City will be owed a percentage of any future transfer fee, though.
