Torino have reportedly told Milan defender Gabriel Paletta to accept their offer by Friday or miss out on joining them.

According to Tuttosport, the delay is due to Paletta also awaiting a proposal from Fiorentina, but Torino “are in a hurry and won’t wait any longer” for an answer.

The 32-year-old has been linked with Torino for the past month after negotiations with Genoa broke down in June.

However, Toro are due to start the next step of their preparations for next season on Tuesday, when they will travel to Austria for a friendly against Huddersfield Town two days later, before facing Freiburg in Germany.

Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic would prefer to have Paletta in his squad for those games, otherwise Tuttosport warns the Granata will turn their attentions to Napoli’s Lorenzo Tonelli.
