“I am fully aware of what the players have done, which is the professional way they started this work and intend to put into practice what they preach. The victory is not fundamental, but rather all the rest.

“Today we did well for 70 minutes, but lost a few too many banal passes that shouldn’t have been lost. I didn’t do anything to change them, it’s the players who decided to be different players. They’re the ones on the pitch.

“I don’t motivate anyone. If players want to be motivated, then they do it themselves, otherwise they should be in a different line of work. It’s their duty to think about their own profession.

“When you are a professional sportsman, either you prove certain things via your behaviour or you are simply not a professional.”
