Napoli have been paired with Mario Balotelli’s Nice in the Champions League playoffs following Friday’s draw.

Nice overcame last season’s Europa League runners-up Ajax on away goals in the third qualifying round.

Balotelli scored for the French side in the first leg of their tie, while Inter target Dalbert played in the second half of the second lag and Valentin Eyyseric – heavily linked with Fiorentina – completed both matches.

Jose Callejon had admitted prior to the draw that Nice were “the strongest team” that the Partenopei could face.

Napoli’s last Champions League playoff came in 2014, when they were beaten by Athletic Bilbao.

The first legs will be played on August 15-16, with the returns taking place on August 22-23.
