Sporting director Monchi said this week that nothing had changed in their pursuit of the attacking midfielder, but France Football is today reporting that the Lupi have raised their offer.

It’s thought the capital club are now offering €35m to sign Mahrez, which would make him the most expensive signing in their history.

If a deal were to be agreed, it would mean paying the Foxes £31.5m, eclipsing the 70 billion lire paid for Gabriel Batistuta in 2000, which was equivalent to around £23m at the time.
