The midfielder will complete the transfer following a medical and the deal is believed to be worth €10m plus bonuses.
“The idea of joining Fiorentina started a long time ago, in the sense that Corvino has been tracking him since he was 15 years old,” agent Francesco Romano told TMW.

“Benassi moved from Modena to Inter, but even then the current Viola director general appreciated him. Over the last few seasons, he always showed an interest and now finally managed to complete the important and prestigious transfer.
“The lad seemed happy. He appreciated the opportunities given to him over the years by President Urbano Cairo and Torino. On the one hand there is gratitude for Toro, on the other the satisfaction at this move.”
