Fiorentina are on the verge of completing their swoop for Genoa striker Giovanni Simeone, which frees Nikola Kalinic to Milan.
According to Sky Sport Italia this afternoon, negotiations are at a very advanced stage and will be finalised over the next few days.
‘Cholito’ is the son of Atletico Madrid Coach Diego Simeone and impressed in his debut Serie A campaign.
The 22-year-old scored 12 goals with one assist in 35 top flight games, plus one in the Coppa Italia.
Although Torino and Olympique Marseille are also interested, Simeone seems to be heading to Florence for €17m.
It’s likely this will make Fiorentina more open to releasing Kalinic to Milan, although the price-tag remains around €30m.
