Genoa are reportedly on the verge of beating arch-rivals Sampdoria to Torino defender Luca Rossettini.
According to Calciomercato.com, Rossettini has been identified as the experienced defender that will bolster Genoa’s defence.
Furthermore, the former Siena and Cagliari man would have agreed a three-year contract with the Grifone and his transfer could be finalised “in the next few hours”.
Rossettini’s place at Torino had been threatened by the arrival of Nicolas N’Koulou from Olympique Lyonnais.
Nonetheless, the 32-year-old has made over 230 appearances in Serie A and was seemingly set for Samp earlier in the summer.
