Fiorentina have officially confirmed the signing of Monaco winger Gil Dias, on a two-year loan with option to buy.
The 20-year-old joined the Ligue 1 outfit in 2015, but has been loaned out to Varzim and Rio Ave and only made his debut for the principality club on Saturday, playing seven minutes against Dijon.
It was reported yesterday that the player was in Italy to take his medicals with the Viola, and today his signing has been confirmed.
“ACF Fiorentina announces that it has signed, by way of a two-year loan with the right to buy, the player Gil Bastiao Dias from AS Monaco,” a statement on the club’s website confirmed.
“Gil Dias was born in Gafanha da Nazarè (Portugal) on September 28, 1996, and is a winger.
“Last season he played with Rio Ave, playing 39 games and contributing eight goals plus seven assists.
“The player will perform his medical assessments today.”
