“Chievo are a consolidated side with their own strengths and weaknesses,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“They’ve got quality and quantity with Lucas Castro and Valter Birsa. I don’t know if they’ll start Manuel Pucciarelli or Sergio Pellissier in attack.

“No games are easy, it’ll be a real battle, as Chievo have 15 years of Serie A experience behind them now. If Birsa is in a deeper role, then a midfielder will mark him, but in a more advanced position, it’ll be a defender.”

Udinese can already count on new signing Behrami, who completed his transfer from Watford.

“There is a lot of competition fro places in midfield. Behrami can help us a great deal with two or three in the middle, but also in aiding the younger players to mature.

“Having versatile players means we can change system during a match, depending on how things are progressing. I think in modern football it’s important to have those choices and make quick adjustments.”

Danilo is suspended in defence and Silvan Widmer out for several weeks.
