Valencia have completed the signing of midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia on a season-long loan with an option to buy.

The deal was confirmed in a statement on Valencia’s official website, with reports suggesting they can buy Kondogbia for €25m next summer.

Inter paid €31m to sign the Frenchman from Monaco in 2015, and he made 56 appearances in two seasons for the Beneamata.

However, he was widely considered to have performed below expectations and skipped training without permission in order to force a transfer to Los Che.

The move also marks a return to Spain for Kondogbia as he spent the 2012-13 campaign at Sevilla.

Swapping clubs with the 24-year-old will be Joao Cancelo, who passed a medical with Inter on Monday.
