Roma have officially confirmed that Juan Iturbe has joined Club Tijuana Xolos, on loan with a conditional obligation to buy.

The winger joined the Giallorossi from Verona in the summer of 2014, but has failed to make an impact in the capital and will now continue his career in Mexico.

“AS Roma announces that it has temporarily transferred the player Juan Manuel Iturbe to Club Tijuana,” a statement on the Lupi’s official website confirmed.

The winger joined the Giallorossi from Verona in the summer of 2014, but has failed to make an impact in the capital and will now continue his career in Mexico.

“AS Roma announces that it has temporarily transferred the player Juan Manuel Iturbe to Club Tijuana,” a statement on the Lupi’s official website confirmed.

“The contract provides for the player to be loaned to the Mexican club until June 30, 2018, and the obligation to purchase him outright, conditional on the occurrence certain sporting situations.

“Iturbe, who joined Roma in the summer of 2014, achieved 68 appearances and five goals in Giallorosso.”

Premium Sport reports that if the conditions are met, the obligation to buy will be €5m.
