Sampdoria have agreed a €22m deal for both Duvan Zapata and Ivan Strinic from Napoli, beating competition from Sassuolo.

Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia both report the agreement was reached late this evening.

Sassuolo had been in advanced talks for the Colombia international striker, offering €20m, but Napoli wanted an option for Domenico Berardi and the Neroverdi would not give that.

Sampdoria had been in negotiations for some time and made the final push tonight, just 24 hours before the transfer deadline.

Duvan Zapata just returned from a two-year loan spell at Udinese, while defender Strinic has slipped down the pecking order at the Stadio San Paolo.
