Lazio have confirmed their Europa League match with Zulte Waregem will be played behind closed doors due to UEFA sanctions.
The Biancocelesti were sanctioned by European football’s governing body after fans racially abused Sparta Prague’s Costa Nhamoinesu in their last European campaign.
“S.S. Lazio informs fans that the Europa League match against SV Zulte Waregem at the Stadio Olimpico on 28/09/17 will be played behind closed doors in accordance with the UEFA sanction,” a statement on the Aquile’s website reads.
“As a result, S.S. Lazio warns fans to be wary of Italian or foreign outlets who have sold tickets for the match, which won’t be valid for use.”
