Torino have officially signed Nicolas Burdisso and loaned Danilo Avelar to Amiens with option to buy.
The former Genoa centre-back was a free agent, but has over 300 Serie A appearances under his belt, and signed a one-year deal with option to add a second.
“I wish to thank President Cairo, director Petrachi and Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic for their faith in me and this great opportunity,” Burdisso told the club website.
“I was looking for a challenge like this. Toro are a club with a unique history, part of Italian football heritage and a club with big ambitions.
“I am very happy, as I identify with the spirit of this team and can’t wait to put myself at their disposal.”
Meanwhile, Torino also sent defender Avelar to French side Amiens on loan with option to buy.
