“I want to give my best for Torino and for myself. I haven’t spoken to Sinisa Mihajlovic yet,” Ansaldi told Mediaset Premium before the contract was officially registered with the Lega Serie A this evening.

“It was my objective to stay at Inter, but now things have changed. I wanted to play more, but I had a lot of injury problems.

“The season began a different way to what I expected and I had to find a solution. It was the dream of all players to join a big club and I thank the Inter fans, who were always kind to me.

“Inter will certainly get back into the Champions League.”

It’s believed Ansaldi had to renew his contract with Inter first, then sign the two-year loan deal with Torino, which includes an option to buy.
