The centre-back is likely to be offered a two-year contract on a slightly higher wage, as they see him as the perfect player to guide new recruit Milan Skriniar.

Perisic, meanwhile, is under contract until 2020 but will see his salary boosted from €3m per season to €5m plus bonuses.
