“We have worked well over the last two weeks in training and are feeling positive,” said Juric in his Press conference.

“Udinese are a side with a lot of physical strength and pace. It’s true they haven’t started the season well with two defeats, but the squad is certainly up to the task.”

There is confusion after defender Armando Izzo’s ban was rescinded on appeal this week, but he’ll have to wait for his comeback.

“I don’t know what’s going on. There were some rumours, but at the moment he is not available and that is why I didn’t test him out in the training ground line-up.

“Andrea Bertolacci sprained his ankle, but has been training with the rest of the group. Gianluca Lapadula isn’t in perfect shape, but he’s a great striker and I want him at our disposal straight away. Federico Ricci will probably start from the bench.

“This season I am focusing on trequartista and that means some tactical adjustments, penalising Luca Rigoni, but he remains a part of the squad.”
