Pecchia: 'Get best out of Verona'

Fabio Pecchia admits “now it’s up to me to get the best out of” a revamped Hellas Verona side against Fiorentina.

It kicks off on Sunday at 14.00 UK time (13.00 GMT), click here for a match preview.

“We have put together and young and talented side, now it’s up to me to get the best out of these lads,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Fiorentina have a lot of quality, despite the many changes they have undergone over the summer. It’s going to be an important match with three points up for grabs and we’ll give it our all to achieve them.

“Finally we’ll be playing at the Bentegodi in front of our crowd, without the Curva Sud closed (due to racist chanting last season), and that’ll fire us up even more.

“I want to see a team that plays without fear. The break for international duty was helpful, as it allowed us to get to know each other better.”

There were also some very late arrivals from the transfer market.

“Moise Kean and Lee are in good shape and will certainly be useful to the cause. Naturally, I’ll need to show sensitivity to know when is the best time to introduce them.”

With new arrivals like Kean on loan from Juventus and Lee Seung-Woo from Barcelona, there will be even less playing time for veteran hitman and Serie B top scorer Giampaolo Pazzini.

“I’ve said it time and again, Pazzini is a fundamental reference point for Verona. We need the best Pazzini to face this season and achieve our objectives. There are ways to make him deliver his best and I intend to use them.”
