Viola Manita over Verona

Fiorentina got their first points of the season and achieved it in style, humiliating Hellas Verona 5-0 at the Bentegodi.

It took just a couple of minutes for Giovanni Simeone to open the scoring, taking advantage of Nicolas spilling the shot from Marco Benassi.

Moments later, Nicolas clattered into Federico Chiesa for a penalty, converted by Cyril Thereau on his Viola debut.

Davide Astori was left unmarked to meet a corner and Jordan Veretout got the pick of the bunch, curling in a wonderful free kick.

There was still time for a fifth, Gil Dias nutmegging Nicolas from close range.
