Everton sent scouts to view Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto, joining Milan, Arsenal and Juventus in the race for the Czech international.
According to Sport Mediaset, Premier League side Everton had scouts in the stands to view Jankto in the 3-1 defeat to Roma on Saturday.
It was already known that in recent months Arsene Wenger sent his representatives to watch Jankto play in Serie A.
Milan and Juve made no secret of their interest in the Czech Republic international, who last season scored five goals with four assists in 29 Serie A appearances.
