Gigi Di Biagio expects a “fascinating and new experience” for his Italy Under-21 side in tomorrow’s friendly with Morocco.

It kicks off at the Stadio Mazza in Ferrara on Tuesday at 17.30 UK time (16.30 GMT).

“This will be an interesting test precisely because it comes after a victory and is no doubt different to the previous games,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

The Azzurrini crushed Hungary 6-2 in last week’s Budapest friendly and are hoping to build momentum.

“We are accustomed to facing European opponents, so this time it’ll be fascinating and a new experience that will enrich our development process. Although we’re only at the start of this new era, I believe we’re already at an advanced stage.

“There is incredible enthusiasm around us and we’re so pleased to see so many fans attend the training sessions. We hope to reward them with a great performance and entertainment.

“Even if the Euros are a long way off, this game represents a step closer and the chance to try new things, so there certainly won’t be a shortage of motivation.”
