Milan defensive shortage with AEK

Milan named their squad for the Europa League clash with AEK Athens, as Nikola Kalinic returns, but Alessio Romagnoli is one of several defenders out.

It kicks off on Thursday at 20.05 UK time (19.05 GMT) and the Rossoneri aim to keep their perfect record.

Striker Kalinic is back in the squad after missing the Derby della Madonnina 3-2 defeat with a thigh problem and could well start in place of Andre Silva.

Riccardo Montolivo also returns with Hakan Calhanoglu, who was suspended against Inter, but defenders Romagnoli, Cristian Zapata, Ignazio Abate, Luca Antonelli and Gustavo Gomez are out.

Milan are under pressure domestically after three consecutive Serie A losses, but have won all their Europa League games, including two preliminary rounds.

Milan squad for AEK Athens: A Donnarumma, G Donnarumma, Storari; Bonucci, Calabria, Musacchio, Paletta, Rodriguez; Biglia, Bonaventura, Borini, Calhanoglu, Gabbia, Kessie, Locatelli, Montolivo; Cutrone, Kalinic, Andre Silva, Suso
