Bayern Munich are reportedly considering Giuseppe Rossi as a backup to Robert Lewandowski.
The striker has been out since April with the latest in a series of serious knee injuries, and is currently a free agent.
Bayern are looking for a forward option to ease the burden on Lewandowski, and Bild claims that Rossi is one of the names being considered.
Other options include Paco Alcacer of Barcelona, Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck and Bayer Leverkusen striker Stefan Kießling.
