Santos confirmed earlier in the week that they would ask Inter about Gabigol’s return, the Benfica loanee having struggled since leaving the club, but their President made it clear such a move would not happen.

“He’s a great player and I don’t understand why he’s not doing well because I think he’s a great lad,” Modesto Roma told Tuttomercatoweb.
“Bringing him back to Brazil, however, isn’t an option. It’s not realistic.”
