Giampiero Ventura replies “yes” when asked if he’ll resign from the Italy job, but it’s reported he wants a €700,000 pay-off.
The CT refused to resign last night, despite the 0-0 draw which means Italy failed to qualify for the World Cup for the first time since 1958.
It was reported earlier today that the former Torino Coach was refusing to resign, as he wanted the pay-off for the remaining two years of his contract.
That would amount to around €2.6m, but Premium Sport believes that he’s willing to walk away with a pay-off of €700,000.
In addition, satirical news show Le Iene managed to catch up with Ventura and asked him if he would resign, after the Coach had asked for "a bit of manners".
“With a bit of manners, will you resign or not? Do you promise?” the reporter asks the CT, who responds with a weary “yes”.
