Luciano Spalletti’s return of 33 points since taking over at Inter is beaten only by Massimiliano Allegri in recent years.

The Coach joined the Nerazzurri in the summer after leaving Roma, and his side are still unbeaten as they sit two points from the Serie A summit.

The Beneamata have taken 33 points so far, with ten wins and three draws in the league.

While it’s not enough to be top of the table, that’s an impressive return and is the best start a Coach has made since Max Allegri took 34 points from his first 13 Juventus games.

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea won the Premier League last season after taking 31 points from 13 games, while Pep Guardiola’s debut with Barça saw them take 32 points from a possible 39 in 2008-09.

Inter legend Jose Mourinho has twice managed 32 points in this period, in 2004-05 with Chelsea and 2010-11 with Real Madrid, while Maurizio Sarri took 28 points from his first 13 Napoli games.

Since returning to Italy with Roma in January 2016, Spalletti has taken 166 points from 70 games, for an average of 2.37 points  per game.

That’s enough to beat Sarri, who has 162 points in the same period, but Allegri is out in front on 174 points, with Juve having won the Scudetto in the past two seasons since Spalletti’s return.
